Dr Lovelady completed her OB/GYN residency at Detroit Medical Center in 2001. Dr. Lovelady has been in private practice and had joined a community health center in Atlanta. She also practiced at an Indian Health Services' location in Oklahoma.

Dr. Lovelady joined with Dr. Burse to form Phoenix Women's Center, P.C. in 2006.
